Joseph E. Russo, President, has over twenty years experience
in Executive Search and Human Resources Management. His background
encompasses ten years direct involvement in executive search, previously
as Vice President at Hammond Partners, Inc. where he managed and
participated in numerous search assignments for high technology
and other companies, ranging from "start up" to Fortune 500.
Previous to this endeavor, Mr. Russo directed the Human Resources
function for BASF Systems, Inc. (magnetic storage media), Infinet,
Inc. (network management/data communication hardware) and Continental
Resources, Inc. (computer peripherals/software). In these positions,
he frequently planned and managed major recruitment programs, including
the direction of senior level executive search assignments to satisfy
corporate growth. In addition, his responsibilities included executive
assessment to the Presidential level, management training and development,
interview and employee selection training for managers, sales training,
organization planning and development, career counseling and executive
During his professional career, Mr. Russo has applied his background
in psychology and advanced statistics, developing a methodology
which enables him to apply a unique approach to executive evaluation
and predicting future on-the-job performance. This methodology employs
a quantitative interviewing technique coupled to a quantitative,
in-depth reference checking procedure. As a result, he has contributed
significantly to improving the validity of the overall candidate
Mr. Russo received both BA and MA degrees in Psychology from the
University of New Hampshire.
Vincent B. Cortina, Vice President, has extensive general management experience with full P&L responsibility in both Fortune 500 and small high technology corporations. His cross functional management expertise encompasses national/international sales, distributor organizations, product marketing, R&D, manufacturing, finance and administration. He has broad experience in business development, strategic planning and mergers/acquisitions.
Prior to joining Hamilton-Chase, Mr. Cortina was President of two business units of The Advanced Instruments Group (Bio-Medical/Industrial Instrumentation), General Manager, EG&G, Inc. (Special Products/Instrument Group) and Marketing Manager, Dynamics Research Corporation (Industrial Automation). Because of his organizational development, general management, marketing and sales skills, Mr. Cortina is uniquely qualified to carry our search engagements at the middle management, executive and CEO levels.
Mr. Cortina holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and an MS degree in Management from Northeastern University.
